Aileen: The Selling of a Serial Killer is a documentary by Nick Broomfield. In the world of documentaries, Nick Broomfield is well known. His other known works are Kurt & Courtney (1998), Biggie & Tupac (2002), Aileen: The Life & Death of a Serial Killer (2003), etc. This documentary in particular is a participatory documentary. I say this because Nick is asking the questions himself & Aileen is answering them. He had an effect on what she would say etc.
Overall this film is about the money making aspects of Aileen's trial & sentence.
