You mention 'the toilet scene' being how we know that Jess is being bullied, I was just wondering what happens in the scene to show the audience this? Also one little suggestion would be to give her a reason to be bullied, even if it isn't a big or obvious one for example is could be as simple as her being introverted and therefore not fitting in ors something like that. But it's always good to have backstories, motives and objectives for your characters, including the bullies so why they are bullying her is actually a really important party in the story.
